My laptop isn't fixed but I thought I'd post a few more pictures that I was able to get on disk. this picture is one I took from my cousins living room. they have an amazing veiw (from their couch hehe). This past week I decided to spend a little time out in the country with my family and take lots and lots of pictures.

the first picture is one i took in what i call the 'truck and tractor graveyard' off of a very small highway in the very small town i was staying in. the second picture was taken at a very small museum in the very small town. they have a whole set up of an old school train station, log cabins and all. very cool =]

and the last one for today, it's octo mom. she really has no kids but she is oddly AMAZING with them. I have no idea how she does it. I think she had 12 kids in a past life.

computer problems

so, the computer i use to upload all my pics has been acting funny lately. This means that i don't have any pictures to post which also means i have nothing to say ;)(my pictures ARE my words). i'm not sure how soon i'll be back here but it will be soon enough...in case anyone cares =)

Something new I found

i thought this book was really cool. in this book (this DRY ERASE BOOK!:) yes u actually get to write in the book!)it teaches to tell time, to write things like the word time and to draw pictures related to time (ex: sun/moon).

i got this from barns & noble for 2.50. i dont know if u can still find it since i did get mine from the bargain bin at 75% off, but just in case anyone is interested in buying something like this for their kid or a child they know, i found a link that will take u to something similar.

i really thought this was a great idea because when i was little (and like most kids do) i loved writing in books lol. now they can!

a shout out to bed bath & beyond

on a recent trip to bed bath & beyond i found these adorable ice cube trays for a dollar. a dollar! i had to have them. this is what they look like:

if u notice, some of those hearts are red. cute idea yes, tasty...well...not so much. i wont tell u what i used, but what i will say is next time i'm gonna try some good ol fashion kool-aid.

all sort of shapes. i'm HEARTBROKEN cuz i see they have seahorse trays but dont offer them in the drop down menu!!! i must continue the search for those or i will never forgive myself. those would make my sons day =D

meet the family

over christmas my grandpa showed me and my uncle some pictures of him and his brothers in the army. i thought i'd put them up because i think old pictures are fun to look at. if i can remember who the person is i'll caption it under the picture.

"shoppa" in the top row on the left and him again second pic from the left in the bottom row. he was a wild one. my grandpa said he'd beat anyone up who called him by his real name...or if he was just bored.

dont know who these people are but the woman was one of the actors there to entertain the soldiers. dont they look like a happy bunch...

my great uncle "shoppa". if i remember correctly, that date on the top of the picture was 1945. that sounds so long also now that it's 2009.
