My laptop isn't fixed but I thought I'd post a few more pictures that I was able to get on disk. this picture is one I took from my cousins living room. they have an amazing veiw (from their couch hehe). This past week I decided to spend a little time out in the country with my family and take lots and lots of pictures.

My little carhartt cutie right before going out to take these pictures...

the first picture is one i took in what i call the 'truck and tractor graveyard' off of a very small highway in the very small town i was staying in. the second picture was taken at a very small museum in the very small town. they have a whole set up of an old school train station, log cabins and all. very cool =]

and the last one for today, it's octo mom. she really has no kids but she is oddly AMAZING with them. I have no idea how she does it. I think she had 12 kids in a past life.

computer problems

so, the computer i use to upload all my pics has been acting funny lately. This means that i don't have any pictures to post which also means i have nothing to say ;)(my pictures ARE my words). i'm not sure how soon i'll be back here but it will be soon enough...in case anyone cares =)

i thought this book was really cool. in this book (this DRY ERASE BOOK!:) yes u actually get to write in the book!)it teaches to tell time, to write things like the word time and to draw pictures related to time (ex: sun/moon).

i got this from barns & noble for 2.50. i dont know if u can still find it since i did get mine from the bargain bin at 75% off, but just in case anyone is interested in buying something like this for their kid or a child they know, i found a link that will take u to something similar.

i really thought this was a great idea because when i was little (and like most kids do) i loved writing in books lol. now they can!

on a recent trip to bed bath & beyond i found these adorable ice cube trays for a dollar. a dollar! i had to have them. this is what they look like:

if u notice, some of those hearts are red. cute idea yes, tasty...well...not so much. i wont tell u what i used, but what i will say is next time i'm gonna try some good ol fashion kool-aid.

over christmas my grandpa showed me and my uncle some pictures of him and his brothers in the army. i thought i'd put them up because i think old pictures are fun to look at. if i can remember who the person is i'll caption it under the picture.

"shoppa" in the top row on the left and him again second pic from the left in the bottom row. he was a wild one. my grandpa said he'd beat anyone up who called him by his real name...or if he was just bored.

dont know who these people are but the woman was one of the actors there to entertain the soldiers. dont they look like a happy bunch...

my great uncle "shoppa". if i remember correctly, that date on the top of the picture was 1945. that sounds so long also now that it's 2009.

is that a skyscraper???

this past weekend my family decided to get together and take over downtown chicago. my aunt bj, who is engaged, decided to bring her stepdaughter. this little girl only lives 2 hrs from chicago and has never been to the city. she wanted to see a skyscraper so badly. on the train ride downtown she kept asking if the buildings we were passing (pretty much anything over 5 stories high) were skyscrapers. wow, she was in for a surprise.

and here is the rest of the fam...well mostly. from left to right: my mom, some of my aunt ruth's head, my uncle, my cousins in the purple coat and yellow coat, and my aunt bj.

the extras in here are my aunt lynn who is married to my uncle michael (guy in the middle-ish depending on the pic ur looking at) and my aunt bj's fiance and his daughter.

I've come to a decision

So, I'm pretty sure that I have no idea what I'm doing here. I'm not even sure if I have the time to do this, but I'm gonna give it a go anyway. Since I have no idea how this blog is going to turn out I've decided to keep your expectations low. I love photo's; so what I'm going to do is post a photo (or anything that i have found interesting) every now and then, and if I have the energy or time, I will even post a thought or two.

I will start here. Just a picture I took over the weekend of my son and his cousin. I thought up the idea of having them hold the friends sign because I just love the fact that family can be your friends. It's too cute. So here you go; a picture of a couple boys and a sign.
